Benjamin Long Homestead stays protected year round
29 Nov 2012

Thanks to the City of Tonawanda and Braendel Painting & Services, Inc., the Benjamin Long Homestead has a new coat (of paint). It was not always painted red. In at least one old photo, it appears to be white. Still, we think it looks pretty sharp in red.

LONG HOMESTEAD

Built by Benjamin and Mary Long in 1829. In this home was held the first Sunday School in the Tonawandas. Historic marker erected by the Erie County Sesquicentennial Committee 1971.

The Long Homestead is open Sundays, annually, during December decked out for the holidays.
