October Program ...

The Ganson Street Tigers Go To War
A Western New York Community’s Commitment to Winning World War II
Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 7:00 PM
Stephen Sikora Post, 950 Payne Avenue, North Tonawanda

Forty-one young individuals from Ganson Street in North Tonawanda and 4,183 from the Twin Cities mobilized for service in World War II. Our October program will provide an opportunity to meet authors Frederick and Cynthia Adcock and hear about how they ‘captured this period of our history’ in their new book and, as one member wrote … “chronicling in great detail the battles of World War II while linking it so closely to life in the Tonawandas.”

This book is an extraordinary tribute to those individuals from the Twin Cities who served on the battlefields, who sacrificed at home, and who worked in the local industries that mechanized to support the war effort.

Books will be available for sale and author signing that evening. For mail order information please visit the society’s website at www.tonawandashistory.org.
