2018 Holiday Party

Salem United Church of Christ is generously hosted our 2018 Holiday Party at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 12th. The Church is located at 114 Morgan Street in the City of Tonawanda.

We gathered in their original mid-1800s sanctuary bedecked with holiday greenery and candles setting the festive mood of the season. James Williams, the Church Historian as well as a faculty member at St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute, presented an overview of the Church’s 150 year plus role in the service to the spiritual needs of their parishioners and to the changing social needs of the community.

Next, our spirits were lifted by the Christmas music provided by the Bell Ringers of the First United Methodist Church of North Tonawanda, directed by Ellen Baker. Ellen gave a brief history of Bell Ringers as she introduced her group and their joyous sound filled the air.

Following the performance, Salem Church members provided refreshments in keeping with the Holiday season as we gathered in their fellowship hall.
