May Program Explore Western New York with Explore Buffalo! Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 7:00PM Tonawanda City Hall Community Room 200 Niagara Street, Tonawanda, New York
With summer finally on the horizon, what better time to get out and enjoy the warm temperatures outside - while at the same time learn about the history of the City of Buffalo and Western New York, including the Twin Cities of Tonawanda and North Tonawanda.
We’re all familiar with the Warrior Walks given each summer in Tonawanda, but you probably didn’t know that several of our members volunteer at Explore Buffalo, conducting tours of Buffalo and the surrounding areas of Western New York, including tours that cover North Tonawanda and Tonawanda historic sites.
Explore Buffalo is our region’s leading organization for architecture and history education through guided tours and other educational programs. Established in 2014, Explore Buffalo’s volunteer docents lead more than 1,000 tours annually for tourists, local residents, and K-12 students.
Executive Director Brad Hahn will talk about the history and mission of the organization and highlights of the 2022 tour season. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ATTENTION Our June Summer Social at the Pavilion will be held Wednesday June 1, 2022.
